Hiiiii!

Wow, we have absolutely neglected this little blog of ours. Which is a shame, because I love writing! I really wish I had a great excuse, but I don’t! Life has continued on and we’ve stayed busy (which is such a blessing)! Since we’re over halfway through the year now, we thought it would be fun to update you on what’s been going on in our world!

Biggest note worthy event if you don’t follow us on social media….

WE’RE HAVING A BABY!! As of last weekend, I am officially 21 weeks pregnant, and we couldn’t be happier! For those of you who don’t follow along on Facebook or Instagram, we have been trying to start our family for well over five years! We had to walk through a lot to get here, and we owe it ALL to Jesus! We are beyond grateful to meet our little miracle baby this Christmas. Yep, my actual due date is Christmas Day! Which we absolutely love.

Every Christmas, I’d look at Caleb and say “hopefully this is our last Christmas just the two of us”… so this feels like a major God wink if you ask me! 😉

We will probably do another post soon with lots of details about our journey…but for now here are a couple incredibly photos by our friend Alex (Alex Marie Photography)!

Besides THAT! 😉 We have been enjoying life, one month at a time. So let me back up.

In January we watched the Bengals FINALLY win a playoff game…and yes…plenty of tears were shed! It was the start of an INCREDIBLE run to the Super Bowl. We all know that didn’t turn out how us Cincinnati fans wanted it to, but hey! It was a great ride and the best season of my life!

In March we started IVF! The shots were intense, but obviously so worth it!

We photographed MANY weddings! Our sweet sister in law, Erin, joined us for one that was TWO days after our embryo transfer! We couldn’t have done it without her!

We might have a whole blog post another time on our entire IVF journey, but in late April, we got the phone call that I was PREGNANT! It was truly the best day of our lives together and we had so much fun celebrating. We immediately went shopping and told our families after!

We spent our Spring/early Summer photographing so many weddings, sessions, etc.! We love seeing so many of our amazing clients!

In June, we went on a family vacation to Hilton Head, and had the best time relaxing!

We have so much more to share, but those were some of our favorite highlights! We promise to keep up with blogging better this year! We’ve photographed so many gorgeous sessions and weddings we want to share with you all! Hope you’ll stick around! 🙂
