I'm Kayla, and I run this little blog of ours! Caleb might pop in occasionally, but this is where you'll find our most recent work, yummy recipes we've tried and our random weekend happenings. We hope you'll pour yourself a drink and stick around!
Caleb and I were lucky enough to photograph one of the coolest weddings a few years ago for a sweet couple named Dustin and Tricia! They were amazing people, their bridal party was hilarious, and even BRUTUS (yes, from THE Ohio State University) showed up to hang at the reception. It’s one of those days early in our career that we’ll never forget.
We also met Dustin’s sweet sister, Kelly, that day. Little did I know, she’d become a really close friend of mine over the years! Fast forward, and she found herself engaged to the man of her dreams, Jake. She contacted us about wedding photography, we had a long Skype call, and the rest is history.
Their wedding day was pure magic – even with a little rain in the forecast! The only sad thing about being friends with Kelly & Jake is that we have to come to terms with the fact that they live in Cleveland…which is just under 4 hours from us here in Cincy! #bummer
Lucky for us, they travel back to Cincinnati to visit family quite often, so we got together a couple weeks ago to capture this NEW season in their lives! They are expecting a sweet little babe so soon! We’re over the moon for them, and so grateful we get to keep capturing all their big life moments!
The extra special part about this session? The location. Do you see that gorgeous building behind them? That’s where they tied the knot. It’s a beautiful church called St. Aloysius and when Kelly asked if I thought it was a good idea to do a few portraits there, I couldn’t reply “YES!” fast enough. I just love the way these turned out – also you’d never know it was 30 degrees that morning. These two are pros!!!
Kelly & Jake, we can’t say it enough! We love you both and cannot wait to squeeze your little babe!
